If you’re travelling in a cold climate, choose a coat that will keep you warm, but that, at the same time, is lightweight and practical. Give away the idea to bring with you the entire wardrobe: it’s improbable for you to wear everything.

Travelling light with children is undoubtedly more difficult: consider also diapers, games, books, clothes.
Don’t be afraid, also in this case it isn’t impossible to travel light! Keep in mind that both during the flight and once you arrive at destination, there is a lot of entertainment for them, so it’s not indispensable to bring many games with you: take just his favourite stuffed animal or game.
The same applies to the equipment: ask the airline and/or the hotel to use for free or to rent stroller, crib and other eventual accessories.
The most indispensable elements when you travel with children are clothes – you have to consider some extra changes, given that while playing or eating they get easily dirty, and food – but at this point don’t exaggerate with the provisions and get informed about sales points at the destination.
If your child is grown enough you could buy him a small trolley or a backpack where to put all or part of the necessary for him.
Slim technology
If you want to bring with you a camera, a lap top or other devices, opt for the mini versions, that need less space.
Alternatively, use your Smartphone and all its apps to take pictures, stay connected, etc. Culture is heavy, but you can make it light! Leave home your paper books and download them on your tablet or e-reader.
Lastly, don’t forget to bring a small backpack for the souvenirs! Also in this case, choose carefully your gifts opting for small and light ones that will not weigh much in your suitcase.
