Countdown for one of the most awaited events in Milan: the "Artigiano in Fiera" returns in Milan with the 21st edition, in the area of Rho Fiera, from 3 to 11 December.

Over 300 thousand companies coming from all over the world will present their gastronomic specialities and their unique and original art, together with the passion they have for the handmade and manual work. In addition to this, a tour between food and clothing, accessories and furniture design, you will be able to enjoy many events organized during the fair in which music, dance, and special courses of kitchen are the main characters.

Opening night at teatro alla Scala 2016

On stage on 7 December "Madama Butterfly"

As every year Vip Limousine offers its special transfer service with driver for the Opening Night at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. The work which will be staged on the occasion of the premiere of 7 December 2016, is "Madama Butterfly" by Giacomo Puccini, directed by Maestro Riccardo Chailly.

The Opera "Madama Butterfly" is an opera in three acts (originally, instead, only two) composed by Giacomo Puccini, on a libretto by Giuseppe Giacosa and Luigi Illica, defined "Japanese Tragedy" and dedicated to the queen of Italy Elena of Montenegro. The first performance at the Teatro della Scala was on 17 February 1904 and never had been replicated up to today. The opera will be then performed  from 10 December to 8 January 2016.

The calendar of the 2016/2017 season of the Teatro alla Scala of Milan plans 15 works, nine of them are Italian. The Italian repertoire promotes the "Bel Canto", scheduled for April 2017 with the young singer of the La Scala Academy, Federica Lombardi. Will be also staged  the "Don Giovanni" by Robert Carsen, from 6 May to 6 June 2017 and the symphonic season reserve a big surprise: after 12 years returns the orchestra director Riccardo Muti, the last time on this stage was in 2005, for the concert with the Wiener Philharmoniker...

In this year there are two rendezvous devoted to truffle and wine, two luxury products of high gastronomic level:

• the 86th International Exhibition of White Truffle of Alba in the province of Cuneo, from October 8th to November 27th 2016;
• the 21st edition of "Barolo & Tartufo", at the restaurant "La Veranda" located in Four Seasons Hotel in Milan, from 21 October until the end of November 2016.

The Fair of the white truffle of Alba took place for the first time in 1929 as "Trade fair with prizes of the renowned truffle of the Langhe", during the celebration of the feast of the grape harvest. In 1932 the fair was already in full development and the following year officially acquired the brand name "Fiera del Tartufo" (Truffle fair), more closely connected to the typical products of Alba,  wines in a particular way. In 1963 the fair finally got the nickname of "national" and in 2007 became the "International Fair of the White Truffle of Alba".

There are many events during the Truffle Fair 2016: there will be festivals, exhibitions, markets, food and wine tours in the best restaurants and wine cellars of the area, and obviously, music and live evenings weekends.

Umberto Boccioni: Genius and Memory

Exhibition at Palazzo Reale in Milan until 10th July

Umberto Boccioni (1882-1916) was an Italian painter and sculptor, one of the most important spokesman of Italian Futurism, especially for its huge capability of representing visually the movement and its constant research on the relationship between space and object, that so much have then influenced the art of painting and sculpturing of the last century.

A hundred years after his death in 1916, at the age of 33, due to an accidental fall from his horse, Milan celebrates with an exhibition at Palazzo Reale this artist of Futurism, the undisputed protagonist of the Italian avant-garde. The exhibition is organized and produced by Palazzo Reale, Castello Sforzesco and the Museo del Novecento in cooperation with the publishing house Electa.

About 280 works including drawings, paintings, sculptures, engravings, vintage photographs and documents will be exhibit. The visitors will be able to admire works coming from important museums and private collections from all around the world, including the Pinacoteca di Brera, the Gallerie d’Italia in Milan, the Camera di Commercio of Milan, the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna in Roma, the Gianni Mattioli Collection, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, the Barilla collection of Modern Art, the Museo Cantonale d'Arte of Lugano, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Getty Foundation of Los Angeles, The Picasso Museum and the Rodin Museum of Paris, the Osaka City Museum of Modern Art, the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna...
