Arena Verona Opera Festival

The Fondazione Arena di Verona presents the 95th edition of the Opera Festival, which will take place in the historic location of the Arena from 23 June to 27 August 2017. The Lyric Festival will open with the opera Nabucco by Giuseppe Verdi. The program will then enrich with other famous operas including Aida, Rigoletto, Madama Butterfly and Tosca.

Among the most expected events of the Festival we remember Roberto Bolle and Friends, on Monday 17 July, who returns to make us dream in the wonderful scenery of the Veronese Arena, one the most beautiful amphitheater in the world. A homage to the ballet and to contemporary dance...

From Vinitaly in Verona to Tuscan Maremma

During the 2017 edition of Vinitaly, from 9th to 12th April, in the historic seat of Verona Fiere, were presented reassuring numbers for the wine market, preferences and expectations for a wine future of quality, intended to be appreciated in the whole world.

Among the most representative figures of a natural style we want to present you the associazione Vignaioli e Territori Vi.Te. (association of winemakers and territories), which gathers winemakers who “follow their wineyards and preserve their wine”.

We will start outside the geographical borders of Maremma, from the Gulf of Baratti, located in a quiet wooded coast, on a promontory facing the Tuscan Archipelago. This is the place where the Etruscan, at first, and Roman, later, aristocracy used to build their homes and the most monumental temples, thermal baths and sacred places.

The southern part of Tuscany is the territory of the Etruscan civilization, and in the whole area the necropolis and the ancient village of Populonia are the most suggestive. Etruscans did not use the money for the trades, at least up to the sixth century B.C. They mainly used the barter of goods, from  which comes, indeed, the name Gulf of Baratti (the Italian word baratti means in fact barters)...

Royal Palace, from 8 March to 2 July 2017, presents the exhibition "Manet and modern Paris" with 110 works, many unpublished and of monumental dimensions. Many of the works come from public and private American, European and Asian collections. The exhibition, curated by Gianni Mercurio, is promoted and produced by Comune di Milano-Cultura, Palazzo Reale, Giunti Arte Mostre Musei, and 24 ORE Cultura (from the Group 24ORE), with the scientific collaboration of MADEINART and with the precious contribution of the Keith Haring Foundation.
